Damaged Society Confirms Bristol Store Won’t Return

When it closed in the summer, members of Bristol’s alternative communities were hopeful it would return after development work. Sadly, Damaged Society has confirmed today that its Bristol store that had been on Penn St will not return.

After closing its doors back in June, posters had initially indicated the store would reopen after ‘redevelopment’. The store has now been knocked through to adjacent units and completely gutted.

The Quakers Friars area of Bristol is due to undergo development. All of the businesses that used to be along Philadelphia Street have closed.

Following questions being asked about Damaged Society’s plans to reopen in Bristol on a Chopsy Bristol TikTok video, the store replied with sad news for Bristol’s alternative communities.

Damaged Society said: ‘We really appreciate everyone who supported our Bristol store. Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough regular trade for it to remain viable. We do have a store in Cardiff, which is the closest one to Bristol – not ideal, we know, but we hope to see you there.’
