Day out in Weston

Weston-Super-Mare gets a huge slating from so many, but is the perfect place to take the children on a warm day.

Miles of fairly tidy sand to dig in, make castles, run around, fly kites, its perfect. Add on top of that the traditional donkey rides, most of the pier, a paddle in the sea when its hot, plus a spot of shopping in the centre, Weston has plenty to offer on a day out.

If you are looking for a bit extra then the Seaquarium is open all year round and once you have paid you can come and go all day.

Find old clothes for getting sandy and wet on the beach as you won’t want to ruin anything any better.

It’s just half an hour from Bristol Temple Meads on the Train, or there is a reliable half hourly bus service from central Bristol.
