Diverse UK Take Sensory Tent to Big Events for Neurodivergent People

A neurodivergent Bristol charity has been making big events more accessible this year with its calm sensory space.

Diverse UK, runs social groups and activities in Bristol for neurodivergent people from the age of 16 years upwards.

Now, they also take a large free to use sensory space to big festivals and events, to help people who need access to a safe, calm space due to the needs of their disability.

We took a look inside the space at Bristol Pride this year. It was really impressive and surprisingly TARDIS like. The smaller exterior belied the darker, larger tent behind it, which was spacious enough to contain bean bags, plenty of floor space and a sensory equipment such as a bubble tube.

This year, Diverse have taken the sensory tent to big events such as Glastonbury, the Coronation and Bristol Pride.

Bristol based Diverse UK, also run lots of groups and activities for neurodivergent young people and adults from the age of 16 years – an age where dedicated activities and support often drops off.
