Doctor Who Filming Bristol 2022

Central Bristol has been bustling with preparations for filming this morning, with set up for Doctor Who taking over Clare Street, St Stephens Street and Broad Street.

There has been particular excitement over the appearance of Mr Emporium, a creepy looking toy shop that’s been set up on Broad Street. Educated guesses on Twitter are connecting the shop with the announcement of Neil Patrick Harris just announced as a 60th anniversary villain.

There’s also speculation following his character’s promo shot that the toy shop appearance links with early Doctor Who character the Celestial Toymaker.

Set dressing and props have continued to appear during the course of the day, with additional filming locations linked to Christmas Steps.

Filming is scheduled to take place in the city on Wednesday and Thursday.
