Flower Power Floral Names On Trend For Babies This Summer
Plants, trees and flowers are popular with parents this season, with a blossoming trend for girl baby names inspired by the garden.
Findings by pregnancy publication Emma’s Diary, discovered more than 60 per cent of parents-to-be are going for floral themed girl names.
More than 400 UK parents took part in the poll which found the most popular spring girl names to be Willow, Daisy, Violet, Fleur and in fifth place Tallulah Rose.
Boys names showed no such theme, with Owen, Maxwell and Neo being the top three most popular names cropping up.
Spokesperson at Emma’s Diary, Faye Mingo said: “Interestingly, the results from our poll show that for girls, the seasonal theme of Spring has a far greater influence on the baby naming process, than for boys. Choosing a name is a big decision for any parent to be but it seems that girls names take the lead in this case when it comes to the changing seasons.”
