Poo Guard – Protect Your Soft Furnishings and Shoes From Dog Poo Germs

Poo Guard. It’s the product every household in Bristol needs. It matters not if you own a dog, because the city is liberally smeared and dotted with the excrement of other people’s animals.

Each time a dog poo is picked up, it still leaves behind around 25 million viruses and bacteria, some of which cause serious health conditions including blindness and limb loss.

British inventor Kevan Norton has created Poo Guard in response to the problem. It’s a simple foaming disinfectant that is sprayed on the ground after picking up the poo. It kills parvovirus, salmonella, enterobacter and streprococcus. It is safe to use indoors and out as well as around children and the pets themselves.

Overreaction to the problem? Not really when you find your three year old treading dog poo around the house, or someone has let their dog poo in your front garden. In Bristol, some people are already resorting to spray painting problem poos in the street to highlight the ongoing issue as well as warn others of its location in the dark.

Poo Guard is available from Waitrose Pet, Amazon, as well as some veterinary practices and pet shops.
