Former Damaged Society Unit Gutted
Former store undergoing works
When Damaged Society closed its doors in June this year, the shock closure was announced with posters saying it was due to ‘redevelopment’.
The store had not long moved from the top floor of The Galleries to the Quakers Friars area of Cabot Circus.
Big changes are planned for Quakers Friars. Hammerson is behind the redevelopment of the area, which will see empty units redesigned for spaces and services such as healthcare, workspace as well as expanding Bristol’s cultural offer.
Shops have been closing and not re-opening on Philadelphia Street for some time.
Chief Development and Asset Repositioning Officer at Hammerson, Harry Badham said: ‘Thoughtful investment into public spaces and the surrounding buildings will unlock a new cultural and community hub for the city.’
