Get in Gear and apply for grants for Bristol cycling festival

Bristol cycle enthusiasts are being invited to apply for a grant to take part in a bicycle fringe festival.

The Bristol Cycle Festival will be running from September 11 until 26 and already has more than 50 events already lined up across the city.

Inspired by the bicycle, cycling themed theatre, tours, talks, carnivals and other entertainment will be taking place  with thirty grants of up to £500 to be awarded for individuals and community groups who want to put on their own event.

Applications for the ‘Get in Gear’ grants are already open and applications include people wanting to put on theatre, talks, fairs, races and treasure hunts.

A second round of grants will be available between the 14 June and 21 of July.
