How to… Grow your own vegetables in a tiny kitchen with no expert knowledge at all
You don’t need to have green fingers or even a garden to grow your own fruit and veg. Some vegetables can be grown indoors in plant pots or any random plastic containers. We recommend cucumber, tomato and radish because the seeds are cheap and growing them is fairly foolproof.
1. Go to pound shop and buy a packet of vegetable seeds.
2. Go to Wilkinson’s and buy a small bag of potting compost.
3. Plant seeds in the bottom half of plastic bottles or your discarded food containers.
4. Place container in a place where child cannot destroy it.
5. Allow to grow.
6. Job done.
