Mums play online catch-up during sleeping hours

There just aren’t enough hours in the day for mothers to get everything done, with 48 per cent working online into the night.

A survey of 3,000 UK mums found that the internet is an integral tool for both parenting and day-to-day living.

A total of 28 per cent of mums are having to spend at least an hour a day online getting things done.

But 33 per cent are having to spend that catch-up time when everyone else has gone to bed, meaning they get less than six hours sleep a night.

The research by Three, found that parenting advice, activities for children, emailing, banking and Facebook are some of the top reasons for using the internet.
