REVIEW: Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella at the Bristol Hippodrome

Well it’s about time a New Adventures production hit the Bristol Hippodrome, and Cinderella provides plenty of delights for new and seasoned Matthew Bourne fans.

The Blitz set Cinderella revival has a rich cinematic feel, complete with the usual New Adventures humour, contemporary ballet, delightful designs and fabulous dancers.

Matthew Bourne has been one of the most important choreographers on the UK dance scene for the past twenty years. His ballets continue to entertain without resorting to cheap tackiness to draw in the crowds.

Running at the Bristol Hippodrome until Saturday 21 May 2011, this will be one of the best touring productions you will see at the theatre all year.
