Must see this month: The Pirates of Penzance at the Bristol Hippodrome
Gilbert and Sullivan’s pop op The Pirates of Penzance, will be playing at the Bristol Hippodrome this month.
The production by D’Oyly Carte Opera Company in collaboration with Scottish Opera, is on a UK wide tour and arrives at the Hippodrome on Tuesday 18 June.
The operetta follows the fortunes of Frederic, who finds on his 21 birthday, he cannot contractually be released from his apprenticeship to a band of pirates due to his birthday being on a leap year.
The humorous production features witty lyrics and fab parodies making this a must-see this month.
