My mate Marmite to get parents reading

Love it or hate it, Marmite is teaming up with Reading for life, to offer parents a free Horrid Henry audio book download with 250g jars of spread sold.

Designed to highlight the importance of parents reading to their children, 80s pop star Sinitta is also behind the initiative.

Research shows that 87 per cent of the public think good literacy skills are essential for children to have, but not all parents are backing this up with bed time stories.
