Obese women having weight loss surgery have healthier pregnancies
Obese women who resort to weight loss surgery will lower their risk of pregnancy complications research in the British Medical Journal finds.
Obesity is a high risk factor during pregnancy resulting in serious conditions including pre-eclampsia and very high blood pressure.
A medical study by researchers from the Johns Hopkins University in the United States, found that obese women having had surgery had substantially lower rates of these hyper disorders when they became pregnant.
