But when it comes to the results, 81 per cent of people only believe the dreams analysis if it was positive and suited them

The study by Ergoflex UK, was part of research about how people sleep at night, with 2,712 taking part.

The top five dreams that people attempted to analyse were:

3. A pregnancy or birth – 15 per cent

4. Supernatural happenings – 13 per cent

5. Betrayal by a loved one – 12 per cent.

Google was the first port of call for dream interpretation, with 27 per cent asking the search engine. This was followed by 18 per cent consulting family or friends and finally, 13 per cent used a book or app.
