Perfect Family Day Formula = Butlins

Butlins have worked with 1000 UK families and a psychologist to create a formula for the perfect family day this summer.

The formula, created by Dr David Holmes, shows that families want a beach, a hot day and a fairground as part of their ideal day.

However, its calculations appear to lack the inevitability of at least one family row, a toddler tantrum and a lost four year old.

Dr Holmes says: “It’s clear that families want to spend time together – but the array of personalities and interests in any family dynamic means there is unlimited potential for people to disagree on everything from the weather through to what they eat. This formula is designed to give families a helping hand to get the best they can from their time together – and what you learn from one day can help you make every other day together equally as special.”
