Parents already looking forward to the end of the summer holidays

They haven’t broken up yet, but research from LittleBird finds that parents are secretly relieved when the school holidays finally shudder to a end.

According to their findings, 60 per cent are pleased to see the back of their kids, with 80 per cent saying their felt under pressure to constantly entertain children during the holiday.

Of 2,000 parents taking part in the study, 65 per cent ended up spending around £150 on an average day out.

But parents are wising up to entry fees, with 86 per cent scouring the web and taking advantage of discount vouchers.
