Parents worry too much to take babies on holiday abroad

Parents thinking about taking their babies on holiday abroad stresses them out so much, that they are staying put on home soil.

According to findings of 400 parents by Baby Sensory, 46 per cent with a baby younger than one year would not take them on holiday over seas at all.

Falling ill put off 87 per cent, but playing up on the plane and the heat were also major causes for concern.

Founder of Baby Sensory,  Dr. Lin Day says: “It’s natural for parents to worry about the safety and well-being of their children, and foreign holidays can present extra concerns in terms of travel logistics and what to do if your child gets ill. However, holidays shouldn’t involve lots of unnecessary stress. Relaxed parents lead to relaxed children and the most important aspect of a family holiday is spending quality time together away from the everyday distractions of work, school and home. Young children don’t mind where they are as long as it’s with you.”
