Police Appeal for Witnesses After Woman Dragged by Car: Bristol police are appealing for any witnesses who saw a woman being dragged along the road by a car to come forward.

The incident occurred on East Park in Bristol between 2am and 3am on Saturday 21 April.

A woman was pulled from a silver Vauxhall Astra by a man and pushed to the floor.

He then drove the car at the woman as she stood in front of it. The woman was knocked onto the bonnet, then dragged along the road after her clothing caught on the car’s wing mirror.

PC Chris Willis said: “Thankfully the woman escaped serious injury and only suffered scratches and bruises in the incident.

“I’m keen for anyone who witnessed the incident, in particular the driver of a red taxi which was seen nearby, to get in touch.

“Any information, no matter how insignificant it might seem, could prove to be crucial.”

A man aged in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released under investigation.
