REVIEW: Chopsy Baby is reviewing… The Gardens of Mayland

The Gardens of Mayland is a wonderland of flowers, all with individual personality. Each flower has its quirks and each delights in telling the young reader all about themselves.

It has been published by The Anorak Press, written by Cathy Olmedillas and illustrated by Rob Lowe.

It is aimed at children aged from five years and features the familiar and delightful Anorak Magazine style and quirkiness.

The Bored Beige, Prattling Pink and Rude Ruby perhaps tell us as much about people as they do the flowers in Mayland. Each could easily be the different personality of a gaggle of parents waiting for their children to burst through the school doors at 3.15pm.

The Crazy Crimson has definitely been spotted entertaining children in preschool groups and the Rude Ruby has quite clearly heard Tesco are planning on opening another Metro on North Street, Bristol.

People savvy parents will enjoy reading this book as much as the children.
