REVIEW: King Jack and the Dragon by Peter Bently & Helen Oxenbury

New picture book – King Jack and the Dragon – from Helen Oxenbury and Peter Bently is out this month.

King Jack, Sir Zak and baby Caspar spend the day building a castle and fighting monsters and dragons. But as night falls, the prospect of fighting dragons alone is enough to test the brave King.

The book is written in rhyming verse and beautifully illustrated by Helen Oxenbury who brings alive the imagination of the three children.

A perfect bedtime book for children aged between three and six years.

Our four-year-old child tester loved the story and pictures, which had to be carefully pored over before turning each page.
