Sensory Space – A softplay/playspace for babies and children in Bristol
A new shop with a dedicated sensory play space has opened in the Brislington area of Bristol.
Sensory Space, features a range of toys and equipment aimed at young children and children with special needs.
A range of tactile toys, giant bubble tube, fibre optics, dark den, LEGO den, UV den and soft space area along with a large train table are some of the items to play with in the Brislington Hill play space.
The aim of the shop is to provide an environment for under threes, with their siblings aged five and under to explore with their parents and carers. Special after school sessions have now launched for older junior school children to come along to.
As well as a range of toys to explore, there are also Makaton and PECS resources, as well as ear defenders and fidget toys.
Though there is a ball pit and soft play shapes, this is not about children burning off energy as would be done in a traditional soft play. This is about a quiet calming environment where children can engage with more specialist resources.
Sensory Space is currently open from Monday – Friday with entry from £3.50.
