Sesame Tree on CBEEBIES

It’s on telly today, Sesame Tree, the UK version of popular children’s programme Sesame Street is to be shown on CBEEBIES.

Featuring puppets and aimed at children aged 3-6 years of age, Sesame Tree is out to help teach basic maths and literacy skills to youngsters whilst also showing films of contemporary life in Northern Ireland.

Children send in questions which local puppets Potto, Hilda and Archie will then answer.

The show is based on the popular programme which started on American TV in 1969 and will be consistent with its original aims of helping children prepare for school and respect cultural differences.
