So, you want to be…an actor?

 

If you have a teenager who is a budding actor who could benefit from tuition and workshop sessions from industry experts, then check out the Tobacco Factory’s weeklong course for your budding thespians.

 

Bristol’s best and innovative studio theatre is running ‘So, you want to be …an actor?’ for ages 14-16 year olds giving them an opportunity to develop performance skills and find out about the acting profession from those in the know.

 

This is a key age for your children who are making long term decisions on their future, and a course like this can make up their minds, avoiding costly future mistakes.

 

During the week, a combination of workshop-style sessions will examine the all the key things a budding performer needs to know, and they will have an opportunity to look in depth at a range of key texts.

 

At the end of the week the participants will be able to present scenes they have worked on.

 

Students will be able to meet and talk to industry professionals, and Andrew Hilton of the acclaimed Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory Company, and Artistic Director of the Bristol Old Vic Sue Wilson will be on hand to dispense with valuable advice for one of the most competitive industries.
