St Paul’s Adventure Playground Bristol:
St Paul’s Adventure Playground Bristol has been saved more times than Den Watts in Eastenders, currently being safeguarded by the Ape Project.
It’s in a secure enclosure next to St Agnes Park in the St Paul’s area of Bristol. It’s for children aged 5- 15 years of age, though children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adults aged 18 upwards.
It’s not just a play frame either. The site has free access bikes, scooters, basket ball court, swings and other free-flow play opportunities both inside and outdoors.
The park receives no funding from Bristol City Council at all, relying on community funding grants.
The opening hours are limited, but the park is also available to hire by community groups and birthday parties.
Current opening hours correct as of April 2019:
Friday 3.15pm – 6.15pm
It’s a fantastic play space for children, especially in terms of teaching risk assessment within a controlled and fun environment.
