UK Shrek the Musical announces cast for Bristol Hippodrome

Shrek the Musical, is going on its very first tour of the UK and Ireland and this week, casting has been announced.

Dean Chisnall will take on the role of Shrek – one he previously played in the West End – opposite Faye Brookes as Princess Fiona, Idriss Kargbo as Donkey and Gerard Carey as Lord Farquaad.

The tour will open in Leeds on 23 July 2014, before making its way to the Bristol Hippodrome for its run of Tuesday 19 August – Sunday 07 September.

The show is based on the story and characters from William Steig’s book Shrek! and the Academy Award-winning DreamWorks Animations feature film.

 

 

Tickets start at £15.
