Busy families spending just 38 minutes together every day
Busy families are struggling to find time to spend in each others company with the average family managing just 38 minutes together every day.
Household chores, working long hours followed by school homework were the top three things getting in the way of quality family time.
The research was taken from 2000 parents polled by Hollywood Bowl.
Extra curricular activities, playing with technology and school timetables also bothered the 93 per cent of people who said they actually wanted to spend more time with their children.
However, many recognise this is a problem, with 83 per cent claiming they want to make more of an effort to spend quality time together as a family.
Eating at restaurants with the family, going for countryside walks and playing boardgames were the three most popular activities adults said they wanted to do with their children instead.
